All students of Volgograd State Medical University are trained at the field of biochemistry on the our Department. Our Department is principal department for Faculty of Medical Biology (student of one are leaning disciplines for specialization on medical biochemistry). Lessons are taken place as lectures, seminars and practical works.
Postgraduate educational activity
Postgraduate education is organized in form PhD studentship on biochemistry and advanced internature on clinical diagnostics.
Scientific research
Scientific research on the Depertment has two basic goals. In first, it's known theoretical and experimental investigations are impossible without permanent necessity to be in the rate of current scientific achievements and without consequent improvement of practical skills.
Besides the analytical stage of scientific work allows purposefully and to develop creative abilities versatilly. Certainly, effective and regular scientific activity, thus, allows teachers of faculty to not lag behind rates of development of modern medical biochemistry. By itself, this fact promotes a high level of intelligent teaching of a subject: especially high, than more effectively and more purposefully the teacher is engaged not only учебно-methodical, but also scientific activity. In the same time scientific analysis needs non-stereotype thinking and allows teacher to support needed qualification. Second goal is development of new molecular approaches for diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Our Department is basic organisation for Volgograd department of Russian Biochemical Society (RuBS). Meetings of RuBS Volgograd Dept. are taken place monthly. On these Meetings members of RuBS proceeds their experimental results and view points on current biochemistry and molecular medicine state.

Extraclass student activity
Many students perform their first research on our Department in student research association. Their research can be experimental or review work. Every year students procced their biochemical experimental results on at least three Russian national and International scientific young Meetings.
