On 9th November 2012, at Lecture Hall No.3 of Volgograd State Medical University was held Malaysian Students Association Annual Grand Meeting together with 6th Grand Election. About 222 Malaysian students were attending this event.

Malaysian Students Association, or also known as MSA, is official student body of Malaysian students in Russia. Its committees have four main bureaus that are media, academic, welfare and sports. All of these bureaus are responsible in helping students in any problem from personal to social aspect.

On the Annual Grand Meeting, Malaysian students were updated with events and activities that been held during October 2011 till October 2012 together with financial report of MSA.

Highlight of the day is the 6th Grand Election, where the new committees were being chosen by the Malaysian student community. The election had been successfully organized by Election Committee 2012 that headed by Izzat Arslan. The MSA 2012/2013 Committee was formed, leaded by Syed Aidid as the new president.

Last but not least, announcement of 10th Russian Intervarsity Games that will be host by our university for the 3rd time was followed. It is an annual event involving all the Malaysian students who are currently studying in six different medical and engineering universities in the Russian Federation. This upcoming spring would be such a memorable moment for the Malaysian students here in Volgograd, Russia. The announcement was given by Daniel Mathew, accompanied by video teaser of the event.
