30.12.09 10:00 Rewarding ceremony of the best international students

On the 23rd of December 2009 in the Assembly Hall of Volgograd State Medical University there was the rewarding ceremony of the best international students according to the results of the last academic year. According to the decision of the Administration of Volgograd State Medical University Lim Shu Yu, Raman Naresh Kumar and Liew Yi Jia were recognized as the best students of the University in 2009, Kassarai Sauane Elawar da Costa and Loh Min Xin were recognized as the best sportsmen and Chai Chan Sin and Joseph Pushpa Innocent Margaret Theresa were recognized as the best amateur performers of the University in 2009. Vladimir I.Petrov, Chancellor of our University, academician of the Russian Academy for Medical Sciences greeted all the students and congratulated them on the coming New Year. He presented the best students with diplomas and presents. On finishing the rewarding ceremony, there was a great performance devoted to the New Year Celebrations. Many international students and also the teachers of the Russian language Department took part in the concert. The audience got acquainted with the culture, traditions and customs of many countries of the world. Volgograd State Medical University is one of the higher school of Volgograd where many students from different countries of the world study. Their traditions, dances, celebrations are unique and charming. Acquaintance with the other peoples` cultures is one of the ways to understand each other, to develop our relationships with people of other nationalities and to take care of our own traditions. That’s why such performances are so interesting and useful.
