On October, 6th, 2011 the Ceremonial meeting devoted to the fiftieth Anniversary of the Stomatological faculty took place. The Chancellor of Volgograd State Medical University, the full member of Russian Academy for Medical Sciences, Dr. Vladimir I. Petrov congratulated the teaching stuff and students with the Anniversary. He reminded of those people who were at the beginnings of the Stomatological faculty of Volgograd State Medical University. The Chancellor awarded the faculties of the University who had brought the contribution to development of the Stomatological faculty by certificates of honor. Dr. Vladimir I. Petrov paid special attention to high performance of work of the faculty: “The Stomatologic faculty ranks the third among all stomatological faculties of Russia”.

Further, the Head of the Regional Public Health Department Dr. Vladimir Shkarin congratulated the teaching staff of the University and awarded it for conscientious work of many years with certificates of the Regional Public Health Department of Administration of the Volgograd region and with certificates of Public Health Department. He noticed that graduates of Volgograd State Medical University are always demanded not only in Russia, but also abroad.

The Deputy of the Head of the Public Health Department of Volgograd Dr. Oleg Y. Yarygin sent his greetings to all the colleagues on the occasion of the Anniversary. The Dean of the Stomatological faculty Dr. Sergey Poroisky sent his congratulations to the teaching stuff of the University. Also,  twenty students had been awarded with certificates of honor for successes in study and scientific activity, also for participation in public life of faculty.

The main non-staff expert for Stomatology of the Public Health Department of Volgograd, Dr. Sergey Gatsenko congratulated the colleagues and presented a surgical phantom as a gift.

After the official part of this solemn event the Student Council of the Stomatological faculty performed a concert program for the visitors.
