The European Students’ Conference took place from 21st – 24thSeptember 2011, at the Virchow Klinikum Campus of the University Teaching Hospitals (Charite Universitatsmedizin) in Berlin, Germany. The topic of the 22nd ESC  in 2011 was “Perspectives and Challenges in Regenerative Medicine”. Originally founded to bridge Germany’s East-West divide, the ESC has now become the largest biomedical conference in Europe that is organized by student. The aim is to serve as a focal point for life science students, especially medicine, to bring together a wide variety of cultures and perspectives for the enrichment of all the guests.

Over 700 participants from all over the world were expected and Keynote speakers presented their current projects on tissue engineering and cell-reprogramming as well as their various potential applications in different clinical fields. There were two active participants from our university: Elena Kardash and Anastasia Ledyaeva. They made oral presentations in following sessions: Pediatrics and Physiology. The participants had good opportunity to take part in different workshops, such as DA VINCI Operation Session, Anesthesiology & Emergency Situations Workshop, Osteosynthesis Workshop, Sonography workshop, and to listen to very interesting lectures of  Keynote Speakers.
